Women Women and Wisdom Part Three

Tickled1LogIn!     Uncategorized     0

Sugar and Spice!  Two sweet words that describe the Mompreneur duo of A Coastal Star-Anna Murphy and Ashley Tatum. Our third segment of Wine Women and Wisdom was enjoyed this month, as we sat down and enjoyed some reds and whites from Grand Cru. Both Anna and Ashley love to share their story of how A Coastal Star came to be-two neighbors who came together to make a pallet art sign.  The rest is history, as they began to spend time in each other’s garage to make pallet art signs.  They are fairly new to the shop, not having had

Prophetic Art by Karen Pray – Deep Calls to Deep

Tickled1LogIn!     Uncategorized     0

For some reason the Lord has been showing me so many waterfalls lately.  I feel so fascinated by them.  I want to hike to them and feel the cool water, cleansing away all the pain and hurt I’ve been feeling.  When I sat down to paint this picture I was praying to make a healing waterfall and feel the Lord’s cleansing love.  I had a background on my picture, I had made it awhile back for a friend who is going through a really difficult trial.  Some of the paint was falling down the canvas. Like tears.  The canvas was

Two words to describe both of these ladies-graceful, southern charm and dedication! Allow me to introduce you to these amazing lady bosses! I met Penny and Julia almost two years after opening Tickled Pink. They were the winners of tickets to the always, well attended, Spring Fashion Preview by our Wilmington fashionista, Jess James. A Legacy Lady

Tickled1LogIn!     Uncategorized     0

With a sad heart, we have learned this week, that one of our favorite customers and champions, has left our lives. We lost a true champion-Mrs. Mary Jane Mote. She fought and battled breast cancer, and she will always hold a special place in our hearts. Tickled Pink welcomed her with open arms in sponsorship to participate in the 2013 Pretty in Pink Fashion Show. She walked the runway with such grace and joy! She blessed everyone that came into contact with her at the show-from the makeup artists, the hair dressers, and the other champions. She was a lady

Meet the Tickled Pink Girls Abby Lanier Elizabeth Lucas Savannah Gore        Elizabeth– “Having never worked in retail before, my first day at Tickled Pink was a whirlwind, but since my first day I have loved working here. My favorite part about the job is when the merchants bring in new inventory. It is always exciting to see new merchandise and to learn about the products as many of our products are handmade or local to North Carolina. It is always rewarding to learn about the product and then be able to tell the customers about it and be able

Hands to Hands to Heart

Hands to Hands to Heart 4 ladies with a gift of gab makes for a wonderful visit! Our hearts are full with love, laughter and wisdom, as we left the home of Mrs. Bette Haddon.   She was grateful to open her home and her heart, to me, Lindsay Fulcher of Elva Cares, and Lindsay’s dear grandmother, Elva. The thought behind “Hands to Hands to Heart” was birthed from a desire and need to show some love to our ladies here in Wilmington, just like Mrs. Bette.   I met Mrs. Bette over 6 years ago.  She, and her husband,

Blog for Bryan….

Tickled1LogIn!     Uncategorized     0

The news of the passing of Bryan Williams has left us all with very heavy hearts. Our hearts will miss his big smile, conversations of music he loved-the 70’s, the group ABBA, of the latest movies, the latest baked sensation from the gifted baker and his partner, David. But most of all, besides his sweet smile, are his hugs that we will miss. In a world today of being “politically correct” or “invading someone’s personal space,” a hug is slowly disappearing. But with Bryan, to receive a hug from him, was such an intentional, genuine, and loving expression from his
